the sole cat who leads the group. they make decisions for the good of the group, and may also be referred to as "queen" or "king".
Heir

the next in line for the title of monarch -- reserved for the monarch's eldest kit. also referred to as "prince" or "princess".
Lady-in-Waiting

the sole cat who accompanies the monarch, and is a personal assistant. they are unable to marry or bear kits.
Private Secretary

the civil servant to the monarch, acting as an advisor and right-hand man. deals with more diplomatic and formal affairs.
Nobility

deals with more "lowly" affairs, and not those directly related to the monarch. referred to as duchess/lady or duke.
Physician

the cat trained to heal. they often stay in camp, unless to gather needed herbs and materials, or to tend to wounds on the field.
Young Physician

the apprentice of the physician. they accompany the physician into the field under dire or special circumstances.
Knight

the cats trained for battle; they take the role of offense and drive the enemies as far back from the camp as possible.
Guard

the group of cats who defend the monarch and any other high-ranking cats. they stay in camp, taking the role of defense.
Squire

the cats enrolled in basic training. the highest member of each rank determines the rank the young cat would perform best in.
Governess

the cats who are expecting or caring for kits of their own. If applicable, one of them will be chosen to care for the monarch's kits.
Dowager

the members who are too old or otherwise disabled and unable to fight or hunt for themselves. cared for by the squires.
Kit

the youngest members of the group, and unable to yet fight, hunt, or train. strictly cared for by the governesses.
